SUMMARY: A report from the Downtown Austin Alliance reveals that since February 2020, 125 businesses in the area have closed down while 71 new businesses have opened. Homeowners concerned about grass damage from urine might pursue civil trespassing claims, but usually only receive minimal compensation. Criminal charges are unlikely unless significant damage occurs. Ultimately, a balance of consideration and understanding is essential between dog owners and property owners.
