Texas Employment Growth Shatters Records
SUMMARY: Texas has broken employment records for the second consecutive year, according to the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC). In September alone, Texas added nearly 436,000 jobs, with a total increase of more than 61,000 non-farm jobs. The total employment number in the state now surpasses 14 million. The TWC report also states that nine major industries in Texas saw job growth, including trade, transportation, utilities, professional and business services, and manufacturing. The unemployment rate remained steady at 4.1%, with Midland having the lowest rate at 2.5%.

Former Houston Texans receiver, Baltimore Ravens star, Jacoby Jones, dies at 40, ESPN says
