Texas shooting spree: Devastating new details emerge | FOX 7 Austin
SUMMARY: A man dialed 911 as he watched on his surveillance cameras a stranger trying to break into his South Austin home while his wife and special needs daughter were inside. When police arrived, the stranger, Shame James, shot at them before stealing a car from the garage. Later, a mother and daughter were found shot and killed at the same South Austin home. This incident came after a string of shootings in the area. James is believed to have killed his parents in San Antonio before traveling to Austin. Following his arrest, James briefly tried to escape custody at the Travis County Jail.

SUMMARY: Currently, we’re monitoring Tropical Storm Barrel in the Gulf. The latest update at 1:00 PM shows it remains a tropical system, but it’s projected to intensify into a Category 1 hurricane near the Texas coast, particularly around Corpus Christi and Victoria.
