Teenage killers sentenced in England for ‘sadistic’ murder – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

SUMMARY: Two 16-year-old murderers in northwest England have been sentenced to life in prison for the horrific murder of transgender teenager Brianna Ghey, who was stabbed 28 times in a park. The killers, Scarlett Jenkinson and Eddie Ratcliffe, were previously known as Girl X and Boy Y. The judge lifted the reporting restrictions on their names, sentencing them to a minimum of 20 and 22 years before parole eligibility. Jenkinson was identified as the ringleader who “enjoyed” killing Ghey, while the two had planned the attack and had a fascination with violence and death. Ghey's family called for the two to never be released from prison.
