Prom pop-up shopping experience helps North Texas high schoolers dress to impress – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

SUMMARY: High school students in Johnson County had the opportunity to prepare for prom at an afterschool pop-up shopping event where they could find formal dresses and suits for free. Over 1,000 dresses in various sizes and styles were donated by Whatchamacallit of Dallas and the community. More donated suits, shirts, and ties allowed students to find the perfect look for prom. The event, organized by Reach Across Johnson County and Cleburne Bible Church, aimed to make prom accessible to all students. One student, raised by her father after losing her mother to cancer, found a perfect gown at the event and felt like a princess.
