They fear his refusal to acknowledge poll warnings could harm down-ballot races, with critical votes expected to be decided by slim margins. Concerns are especially high in the House, where Democrats see a chance to regain control in November. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries is set to meet with top House Democrats, while Senator Mark Warner is working to persuade Biden to step aside. Armed bystander shot suspect who killed 3, including 2 kids, documents say
SUMMARY: During a deadly shooting at a Fort Worth car wash on July 4th, a bystander's intervention might have prevented further casualties. The altercation began when 27-year-old Canard Murphy, who had prior domestic violence issues, fought with a relative of his 11-month-old daughter's mother at a gathering. Murphy pulled out a rifle and started shooting, killing three innocent bystanders: two young girls and 42-year-old Terell Win. Murphy was ultimately shot by an unknown person, causing him to drop the rifle, and another individual secured it. Murphy faces multiple capital murder charges and is currently hospitalized, delaying his booking into jail.
