3 charged with human trafficking in connection to North Texas 18-year-old’s death
SUMMARY: In 2018, 18-year-old Julia Wells was killed after being lured into a prostitution trap and pushed from a moving car. This week, three people were arrested in connection to her murder and a separate human trafficking case, bringing relief to Julia's mother, Mary Wells. Julia, who had autism, was trusting and lived with her boyfriend. The car involved was registered to a known human trafficker. A new Texas law, House Bill 985, also known as the Julia Wells Act, now requires driver education to include human trafficking prevention. Mary Wells aims to turn her family's tragedy into a blessing for others.
Julia Wells was killed when prosecutors say she was lured into a prostitution trap and then pushed from a moving car on the Dallas North Tollway. Her death led to a new Texas law.

Hurricane Beryl Update: Latest on storm’s path
SUMMARY: Barrel's eyewall is closely brushing the south coast of Jamaica but is not expected to make landfall as it parallels the coastline. Winds are at 140 mph, cementing its status as a Category 4 hurricane. Moving West-Northwest at 20 mph, Barrel will pass south of the Cayman Islands with strong tropical storm force winds. It's projected to weaken to a Category 2 before making landfall on the Yucatan Peninsula early Friday. After crossing the Yucatan, it may regain Category 1 strength in the Gulf of Mexico. There remains uncertainty if it will impact northern Mexico or the South Texas coast, particularly around Brownsville or Corpus Christi, by the weekend.
Hurricane Beryl is moving near Jamaica before heading west towards Mexico and possibly Texas. FOX 4's Dan Henry is tracking the storm.
