SUMMARY: The 40th annual Kaboom Town event in Addison attracted around 25,000 attendees, featuring a spectacular fireworks show, live music, an air show, as well as food and beverage trucks. Despite the heat, with temperatures soaring above 100°F, visitors stayed cool using umbrellas, fans, and refillable water bottles. Families traveled from near and far, like Scott Horel from New Mexico, to celebrate and enjoy the festivities. Longtime visitor Kimberly Hillard praised the consistently amazing fireworks, which continue to draw her family back annually. Post-event, traffic was a concern as the large crowd began to disperse from Addison Circle Park.

The fireworks display brings people from across Dallas-Fort Worth and beyond. One spectator came in from New Mexico after googling ‘best places for fireworks.'

SUMMARY: A man in Harris County Jail for murder is now accused of kidnapping 29-year-old Kaye Goodwin, missing from Baytown since April 21st. Quan Flowers, already charged with murdering Megan Rouse in May, kidnapped and assaulted Goodwin, though her whereabouts remain unknown. Goodwin’s mother received a call demanding $600, hearing her daughter’s cries for help. Baytown police, alongside Goodwin’s mother, are pleading for public assistance. Evidence traced to Houston suggested Flowers’ involvement in Goodwin’s case. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact Baytown Crime Stoppers, as the community seeks answers and the family longs for peace.
