How often does Austin hit 100°? Here’s a breakdown by date, month, year and decade

SUMMARY: Austin hit 100° for the first time in 2024 on June 27, later than last year but earlier than average. Camp Mabry’s temperature records date back to 1898, with Austin reaching 100° a total of 1,970 times. The highest number of 100° days occurred in 2011, with 90 days hitting or exceeding that temperature. In recent decades, the frequency of triple-digit days has risen, with the 2010s recording 409 such days. August sees the most 100° days, with nearly half occurring in that month. The earliest 100° day on record was May 4, 1984, and the latest was October 2, occurring in 1923 and 1938.

Irving and Texas Police Seek Continuous Rape of a Child Suspect – May be Fleeing for Mexico

Santos Torres is believed to have fled on a bus in Dallas on Wednesday. He has used Mexico-bound bus lines Turimex and Tornado previously. Described as 5 feet 5 inches tall and 170 pounds, Santos Torres has been deported before and re-entered the U.S. illegally in 2020. His last known address in Irving was on Brown Road. Police release information on Saturday’s motorcycle fatality

SUMMARY: AUSTIN (KXAN) – Austin Police reported a fatal crash involving a motorcycle and a vehicle on the 2400 block of South MoPac northbound on June 29. The incident occurred around 11:56 p.m. when motorcycle rider Christopher Hale fell off and was subsequently hit by another vehicle. Hale was taken to the hospital and later pronounced dead. The driver of the vehicle was not impaired, and no occupants were injured. This marks Austin's 38th fatal crash of 2024, with 39 fatalities recorded. Police urge anyone with information to contact APD's Vehicular Homicide unit or submit tips anonymously via Crime Stoppers.
