Fort Bend County man, Pengfei Ji, arrested for killing wife’s Teacup Pomeranian on camera, authorities say

SUMMARY: A Fort Bend County man, Pengfei Ji, 31, was arrested and charged with animal cruelty after being accused of killing his wife's teacup Pomeranian in Richmond, Texas. Surveillance footage reportedly captured Ji slamming the dog into a dog house after accusing his wife of loving the dog more than him. The incident occurred on Friday evening in the Candela neighborhood. Despite rushing the dog to a vet clinic, it was pronounced dead. Authorities viewed the on Ji's wife's phone before Ji deleted it and are considering charging him with evidence tampering.
