SUMMARY: Rafael Solis Junior, a drug dealer connected to the overdose deaths of teenagers in Carrollton and Flower Mound, has pleaded guilty to federal charges. Solis admitted to selling 1500 fentanyl-laced pills, three of which were sold to a middle school student in Carrollton who died of an overdose. This is the first Carrollton fentanyl case where a drug dealer has admitted to directly selling a pill to a teenager who died. The DEA in Dallas has made progress in their investigation into the deadly drug ring, but there is still more work to be done. The case highlights the danger of fentanyl and the lengths people will go to for money. A new state law that creates a criminal offense of murder for supplying fentanyl that results in death may act as a deterrent for other dealers.

A 23-year-old drug dealer accused of selling fentanyl to a Carrollton middle schooler, who later overdosed and died, has pleaded guilty to a federal crime.

Man fatally shot after argument at NE Houston apartment complex

SUMMARY: A man was shot and killed at the Pinewood Apartments on Greens Road in northeast Houston last night, around 9:53 PM. The incident occurred following an argument between two men, during which one man pulled out a gun and shot the other before fleeing the scene.
