The incident occurred at around 4:45 p.m. near Teal Run North Park. Witnesses say that people in the medical field rushed to the sheriff’s aid and called 911. The Fresno Fire Department responded and transported him to the hospital for precautionary reasons. The sheriff’s condition was later checked out and he was released from the hospital.
