Alaska couple reunites with their cat 26 days after a video of their house collapsing into a river goes viral

SUMMARY: A couple in Alaska who lost almost all their possessions when their house collapsed into a river during a flood have been reunited with their missing cat, Leo. The river flooding was caused by a release of water from Suicide Basin, a Mendenhall Glacier-dammed lake in Juneau, that eroded the river bank. The couple were away on a trip when their house was destroyed, but they returned to Juneau to search for Leo. After 26 days, Leo was found by a local resident and returned to his owners. Their other possessions have also been found, albeit in poor condition.
