SUMMARY: The Texas Rangers have made the first move of the MLB trade deadline season by acquiring Kansas City Royals reliever Aroldis Chapman. In return, the Royals will receive left-hander Cole Ragans and Dominican prospect Roni Cabrera. Chapman, who had a troubled time with the New York Yankees, has revitalized his career with the Royals and has a 2.45 ERA with 53 strikeouts in 29⅓ innings. The Rangers, who rank 13th in bullpen ERA in the American League, were motivated to act fast as they face the Houston Astros in a four-game series.
