Austin outlines funding costs, timeline for I-35 ‘Cap and Stitch’ initiative

Suspect Injured Following Police Chase and Shootout in Midlothian

Donate to 2024 Family Eldercare Summer Fan Drive

SUMMARY: Central Texans are contributing fans and funds to Family Eldercare's Summer Fan Drive to keep people cool amid the summer heat. Donations of box fans can be dropped off from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at various locations including KXAN and Roger Beasley Mazda dealerships. Additionally, online donations are accepted. Family Eldercare, an Austin-based organization, has hosted this drive for over 30 years, providing vital support such as case management and housing services. Last year, the initiative raised over $231,000 and collected 740 fans. As of July 5, Family Eldercare had distributed nearly 4,000 fans, helping over 6,000 people in Texas.
