Austin weather history: The hottest, coolest and wettest ACL festivals

SUMMARY: The Austin City Limits (ACL) music festival has experienced a range of weather conditions since 2002. The hottest festival day on record was in 2005, with temperatures reaching 107°F. Only seven days have had temperatures below 80°F, with the coolest day being in 2019 at 65°F. The average high temperature during the festival has been 88°F. In terms of rain, the wettest weekends were in 2013, 2014, and 2018, with over an inch of rainfall. There have also been 15 bone-dry festival weekends.

Dallas Police Investigating Officer-Involved Shooting that Left 1 Dead, 2 in Custody

SUMMARY: Dallas police are investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred around 1 a.m. on South Lancaster Road. Three robbery suspects fled an illegal game room and encountered officers. One suspect pointed a gun at an officer, leading to a struggle in which the officer fired his weapon, hitting the suspect who later died at a hospital. The other two suspects were arrested, and no officers were injured. Dallas Police Chief Eddie Garcia is expected to provide more details next week. The incident is under review, and further information will be released as available.
