SUMMARY: President Joe Biden is set to announce a policy lifting deportation threats for around 490,000 spouses of U.S. citizens, allowing them to apply for the “parole in place” program granting deportation protection and work permits after residing in the U.S. for over ten years. Celebrating Obama's “dreamers” directive, Biden also plans to make DACA recipients eligible for visas.
