City of Austin considers future of popular pecan tree ‘Flo’

Train collides with car carrying grandfather, 2 grandchildren on County 236 in Brazoria County, police say
SUMMARY: In Brazoria County, Texas, a grandfather and his two grandchildren were transported to a hospital by Life Flight after their car was hit by a train. The incident occurred near County Road 236 around 8:07 p.m. Saturday. Police reported that the victims, aged 61, 17, and 5, were on Burnet Street when their car stopped on the tracks and was struck by the approaching train, causing it to roll over. The grandfather and 17-year-old suffered head injuries and underwent surgery, while the 5-year-old is expected to recover.
