Community Library seeking donations for new $35 million project
SUMMARY: The Dripping Springs Community Library is planning to move into a new 37,000 square-foot building to accommodate the growing community. They are campaigning to raise $5 million to help finance the construction costs, with some funding already secured. The new library will have more space, meeting rooms, and dedicated areas for teens. Currently, the library is overcrowded and lacks resources, leading to a need for expansion. The library is seeking donations to help fund the project, and those in Hays County are eligible for a free library card. The new library is expected to be completed by 2033.
