End in sight for consistent 100º days
SUMMARY: This week will experience triple-digit heat every day and it will get hotter towards the end of the week. However, there are signs that the consistent 100º days may come to an end after September 10. The high pressure system that has caused the extreme heat is expected to weaken and move southwest, resulting in more clouds, higher rain chances, and lower temperatures. September typically sees a drop in temperatures, with several days having record highs in the 90s. While there may still be some 100º days later this month, the outlook is for hotter-than-normal temperatures overall.
