Heat Advisory Posted For North Texas

SUMMARY: The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for DFW and most of north Texas, taking effect on Sunday at 1:00 PM until 9:00 PM Monday. The advisory warns of hot temperatures and high humidity, increasing the risk for heat-related illnesses. The Heat Index Values will reach 105 to 111 degrees. The advisory recommends drinking plenty of fluids, staying in air-conditioned areas, avoiding the sun, and checking on relatives and neighbors. It also emphasizes that young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles.
