Horizon City man arrested in fatal 2021 drunk-driving crash
SUMMARY: A man from Horizon City was arrested on suspicion of intoxicated manslaughter and other charges nearly two years after a teenager was killed in a drunken-driving crash. The man, Alvaro Castaneda, was 17 years old at the time of the crash in October 2021. He allegedly lost control of his Ford Mustang while drunk, causing it to roll over multiple times. Five passengers were in the car during the crash, resulting in the death of a 16-year-old passenger. Castaneda sustained severe injuries, leading to a delay in his arrest.
