Huffman house fire: Man severely burned, saved by neighbors on 3rd Street after overloaded socket causes flames, officials say

SUMMARY: A fire in Huffman, Texas was confirmed to be accidental by the Harris County Fire Marshal's Office. The fire prompted a Life Flight response and resulted in a man in his 50s suffering burns to his upper body. Neighbors saw the smoke and pulled the victim from the fire, and it was revealed that the fire was caused by an overloaded socket. The victim is expected to survive and was flown to The University of Texas Medical Branch in for treatment. The neighbors, Ashley Ana McGee and James “Jed” Dyer, were credited with saving the man's life.

Houston man charged with bigamy after wife finds out about second wedding through Facebook, records show
