K-pop star Suga becomes third BTS member to join South Korea military service – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

SUMMARY: Suga from BTS has started South Korea's mandatory military service, becoming the third member of the group to do so. Big Hit Music released a statement confirming Suga's enlistment and asked for continued support from fans until he completes his service. South Korean men between the ages of 18 and 28 are required to serve in the military for 18-21 months, with exemptions given to certain athletes and musicians. In 2020, BTS postponed their service until age 30 but later confirmed that all seven members would fulfill their duties. Jin and J-Hope have already enlisted.
