Oregon teen saved baby after a power line killed 3 – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

SUMMARY: A woman in Portland suffered an electrocution during a dangerous storm, along with her boyfriend, who tried to save her and their child from the live wire. A brave and quick-thinking 18-year-old woman rescued the baby from the scene. Washington and the baby were not electrocuted and survived, while the mother and 15-year-old brother of the boyfriend were tragically killed. The family was watching the SUV parked outside of their home which was covered with ice and snow. The ice weighed down trees and power lines, causing them to snap and become dangerous. The deaths were caused by a large branch breaking from a tree and landing on utility wires.

4-year-old girl dies after being left unattended inside vehicle in northwest Houston, police say
