Overcrowding at popular park preventing people from getting home
SUMMARY: Commons Ford Ranch Metropolitan Park in Austin is experiencing significant overcrowding as warm weather attracts large crowds, causing concern among local residents about the upcoming Fourth of July holiday. Neighbor Amy Bulls expressed frustration, citing safety hazards due to a narrow two-way road congested with parked cars, which could impede emergency vehicle access. High school senior Bryce Gillespie noted frequent car scratches as vehicles struggle to maneuver. The City of Austin Parks and Recreation Department advises visitors to be considerate, carpool, and follow Leave No Trace principles. Bulls suggests prohibiting parking on one side to improve safety and access.

Trump immunity: What happens next in Jack Smith’s DC election case after the Supreme Court’s immunity decision
SUMMARY: The Supreme Court has ruled that Donald Trump is entitled to some immunity from prosecution. Special counsel Jack Smith’s election interference case against Trump is expected to proceed with written arguments and witness testimonies before Judge Tanya Chutkan in Washington, DC. The Supreme Court must first formally hand down its opinion to the federal courts, a process that typically takes up to a month. The ruling has implications for various allegations against Trump, requiring lower courts to analyze his actions to determine what constitutes official presidential acts. Future appeals and legal challenges could delay any potential trial.
