Patrick Mahomes is going to Disneyland. Here’s how the tradition started – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth
SUMMARY: After leading the Kansas City Chiefs to a Super Bowl victory, Patrick Mahomes will be going to Disneyland once again, as part of the tradition that was started in 1987. In these commercials, the Super Bowl MVP is asked about their plans after the game, and they all respond with “I’m going to Disneyland/Disney World”. The tradition includes a parade and a trip to the theme park, with Phil Simms being the first player to star in one of these commercials. Mahomes starred in the 2023 Disneyland ad after winning his third Super Bowl MVP award, making him the third player to make multiple Disney trips as a Super Bowl MVP.

Supreme Court to rule on Trump Immunity
SUMMARY: The Supreme Court is concluding its term unusually late, meeting into early July, with a highly anticipated decision pending. The case concerns whether former President Donald Trump is immune from prosecution related to the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot. This case was argued on April 25, and its delayed resolution impacts the potential for Trump to stand trial before the November election. The timing of the court’s decision is crucial, as the delay means Trump is unlikely to face trial before the election, regardless of the ruling’s outcome. (© 2024 The Associated Press.
