Project Connect seeks applicants to guide anti-displacement, equity efforts

SUMMARY: The Austin Transit Partnership (ATP) is seeking volunteers to join its community advisory committee to address anti-displacement and equity issues related to the city’s Project Connect light rail route. The committee will help shape and oversee displacement prevention efforts, support people of all abilities, and provide guidance on community questions and involvement. New committee members will serve either two-year or four-year terms. ATP is seeking applicants from diverse backgrounds who have experience in transit services or land use and housing policy. In addition to their other responsibilities, committee members will be involved in federal funding and environmental approval processes.
