SUMMARY: Groundhog Day has become synonymous with relying on the prediction of whether winter will end soon or last another six weeks. Despite Punxsutawney Phil's renowned reputation, recent data shows that weather forecasting is becoming less reliable as climate change is affecting the groundhog's capacity to predict future weather accurately.
