REI recalls over 75,000 children’s bikes with training wheels – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

SUMMARY: REI is recalling Co-op Cycles REV 12, 16, or 20-inch kid's bicycles with training wheels from model years 2022-2024 due to a risk of the training wheel assembly knob loosening and detaching, which can cause falls and injuries. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission stated that 75,860 units are affected. Consumers are urged to contact local retailers for a free repair. If visiting a store is not possible, a repair kit can be shipped. Four incidents have been reported, including scrapes, bruises, and a broken arm. For assistance, reach REI at 800-426-4840.
