Texas community college seeing enrollment rise after a few down years during COVID

SUMMARY: Austin Community College (ACC) is experiencing an increase in enrollment numbers after a drop during the pandemic. The school expects to have about 37,000 students for the fall semester, with enrollment still open. ACC saw a decline in enrollment in the fall semesters of 2021 and 2022, but they are now building back up. The school is seeing growth in fields such as Computer Science and IT (7.5% increase), Liberal Arts (10% increase), and Science, Engineering, and Math (almost 7% increase). ACC's variety of programs, flexible schedules, and affordability are appealing to students. New student enrollment in online-only classes has increased by 16% since fall 2022.
