Two people die in unrelated accidents in East El Paso

SUMMARY: Two unrelated crashes in East El Paso resulted in the deaths of a pedestrian and a man involved in a drunken-driving incident. In the first crash, three vehicles were involved, with a 2015 Silver Honda Accord being struck from behind by a 2002 White Chevrolet Astro Van. The van spun and ended up facing the wrong way on the highway, and a 2019 Silver Nissan Titan collided head-on with it. The drivers of all three vehicles were taken to the hospital, but the van driver, 37-year-old Joseph Isaac Ayala, died from his injuries. The second crash involved a pedestrian attempting to cross Interstate 10 and being struck by a white Ford Explorer. The pedestrian, a 31-year-old man, died from his injuries. Police believe speed and alcohol were factors in the first crash. These incidents mark the 38th and 39th traffic-related fatalities of 2023 in East El Paso.

Houston man charged with bigamy after wife finds out about second wedding through Facebook, records show

4-year-old girl dies after being left unattended inside vehicle in northwest Houston, police say

The Marsh Lane Plaza Rebuild Brings New Choices To Northwest Dallas

SUMMARY: In October 2019, an EF-3 tornado caused over a billion dollars in damage in North Dallas, impacting areas such as the Marsh Lane Plaza shopping center. The damaged center, located at Walnut Hill and Marsh, has been demolished and largely rebuilt. Several new businesses including Jake's restaurant, a luxury nail salon, a dentist, and a doughnut shop are set to open in the coming weeks. Rankin Grote of Hopkins Commercial Real Estate states the area will offer upscale, family-friendly options. Additional tenants include Texas Resources, a coffee shop, an ice cream store, and a barber shop. The rebuild is expected to be completed by year-end.
