Published

on

www.youtube.com – FOX 4 Dallas-Fort Worth – 2023-08-14 13:19:34

SUMMARY: The north of Texas has broken another record with 359 straight hours above 80 degrees, the longest stretch of such temperatures on record. However, a weak front moving through today will bring temperatures down into the 70s tonight. The streak of 100 degree days will also end soon, with temperatures dipping into the 90s. Despite still reaching the top 10, Texas won’t crack the top five for consecutive 100 degree days. Temperatures will reach 100 degrees today but drop into the 90s tomorrow. However, temperatures will quickly rise again and potentially exceed 105 degrees later in the week. There is also potential for tropical activity in the Gulf next week. Overall, temperatures will remain above average throughout the last week of the month in Dallas.

At 7 a.m. on Monday we hit 359 straight hours with temperatures at or above 80 degrees at DFW Airport, breaking the record.
