SUMMARY: Johanna Diaz is a deputy clerk cashier in the Supreme Court who has been working there since February 2008. Her job involves taking payment for tickets, processing court dates, and handling mail. She enjoys interacting with different people and considers herself a people person. She believes in being impartial while doing her job, even though some people misunderstand and think the court lacks compassion. Diaz deals with a variety of cases, from parking tickets to speeding tickets, and hopes that by coming in and facing the consequences, people will prioritize safety. She appreciates the diversity and the unique experiences that working in the court brings.

Meet this week's #employeespotlight JoAnne Eliaz, Deputy Clerk for the Municipal Court since 2008.

JoAnne is a people person, friendly, understanding and very organized. What she loves the most about her job is that she is able to meet and help new people everyday.

It's not easy to be a Deputy Clerk, especially when you have to work with people who are upset. However, her goal is to make sure that every person who comes in, leaves happy and with their needs met.
