With reduced wind shear, the storm’s center may shift northward, altering its forecast track. A hurricane warning is in effect along the central Gulf Coast, with tropical storm-force winds beginning Sunday and increasing. Significant rainfall is forecast, with 5-10 inches north of Corpus Christi and up to 1.5 feet in isolated areas. Eastern and southeastern counties could see 4-7 inches of rain. Winds and rain will persist into Monday, potentially causing flooding before exiting eastward.
