FOX 7 Focus: Dr. Carder on Ken Paxton acquittal | FOX 7 Austin

Published

www.youtube.com – FOX 7 Austin – 2023-09-17 16:30:54

SUMMARY: During an interview with constitutional law professor Eddie Carter, he expressed his reaction to the acquittal of Ken Paxton on all counts in his impeachment trial. Carter stated that it was initially the House managers' case to lose, but their evidence was insufficient to meet the burden of proof. He also noted the lack of passion from the House managers' legal team and praised Attorney Busby's conclusion. Carter believes that Paxton will go back to work but will face a political onslaught from those who brought the charges, and he will likely see the criminal case through to establish his innocence.

In this FOX 7 Focus, Prairie View A&M constitutional law professor Eddy Carder joins FOX 7 Austin's John Krinjak to discuss the conclusion of the Ken Paxton impeachment trial and what's next for Paxton after his acquittal.
