Growing number of Latinos support Gov. Abbott’s handling of border crisis, poll finds
SUMMARY: A new poll shows that Governor Greg Abbott is receiving high marks for his handling of the Border crisis in Texas, while President Biden is receiving low marks from the same voters. The Texas Hispanic Policy Foundation survey reveals that a majority of Hispanics support Abbott's border policies. Republicans, independents, and even a third of Democrats support Abbott's border security policy. 73% of likely Texas voters disapprove of President Biden's handling of the border. The surge in support from Hispanic voters is significant, with 49% supporting the new law making illegal immigration a state crime.
