Witnessing firsthand the intensity of Israeli Defense Forces' actions in Rafah and Hamas' counterattacks, Gravell was profoundly impacted by a video of a woman whose niece, an IDF soldier named Berger, was captured by Hamas. The emotional weight of meeting Israelis affected by the October 7th attacks left a lasting impression on him, highlighting the human cost of the conflict.
