Missing in Texas: Austin woman has been missing for 40 years | FOX 7 Austin

SUMMARY: Sharon McColly vanished on December 11, 1984, after dropping her husband at work and heading east on Howard Lane towards I-35. Her off-white 1965 Volkswagen Beetle was found two days later, unlocked and abandoned at an apartment complex on the 8600 block of Research Boulevard, with her keys and purse missing. She had no known connection to the area. Her husband reported her missing the next day. The “Solve the Case” platform, created by homicide detective Aaron Bik, aims to aggregate facts about unsolved cases, including missing persons, to facilitate public and law enforcement collaboration. The hope is to build a comprehensive database to better solve these cases.

In this edition of Missing in Texas, we take a look at a case of an Austin woman who disappeared after going Christmas shopping nearly 40 years ago.

Man fatally shot after argument at NE Houston apartment complex

SUMMARY: A man was shot and killed at the Pinewood Apartments on Greens Road in northeast Houston last night, around 9:53 PM. The incident occurred following an argument between two men, during which one man pulled out a gun and shot the other before fleeing the scene. Houston Police Department's Tactical Unit was brought in to sweep the area, though no suspect was found. The victim has not been identified by HPD, though witnesses described him as a good man.
