Mom arrested after ‘unnecessary procedures’ on child

SUMMARY: A mother in Tarrant County, Texas, is being accused of medical child abuse after lying about her three-year-old daughter's medical condition. Jessica Gasser allegedly took her daughter to numerous medical facilities, resulting in unnecessary procedures. The investigation began when doctors became suspicious and found evidence of fake medical history provided by Gasser. Gasser had a significant social media presence documenting her child's and even set up a GoFundMe page for her daughter's treatment. Investigators are asking the public to provide any social media messages or evidence related to the case. This is not an isolated incident, as Tarrant County has dealt with similar cases since 2019.

Tarrant County investigators believe 27-year-old Jessica Gasser had multiple “unnecessary medical procedures” performed on her child.
