SUMMARY: “A Voice for the Voiceless” is a nonprofit aimed at raising awareness about missing persons cases. Founded by Whitney Sitch four years ago after she suffered a massive stroke, the organization began when Sitch distributed flyers to identify a wandering toddler. The initiative rapidly expanded into a nationwide cause with around 40 volunteers. They follow law enforcement's lead, hold vigils, and conduct searches. Sitch encourages everyone to help, emphasizing that even sharing a flyer can make a difference. With nearly 500 cases assisted, the organization strives to keep missing persons' names in public focus and hopes to reunite families with their loved ones.

In this week's “Missing in Texas,” we're taking a look at a nonprofit that helps with missing persons cases across the country, including in Texas.

SUMMARY: House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries met virtually with Congressional committee leaders, anticipating a significant week on Capitol Hill. Five Democrat members of Congress have already urged President Biden to step aside. The Democratic calls for Biden to reconsider his electability could amplify when Congress reconvenes after the July 4th recess. Jeffries publicly supports Biden but is privately attentive to concerns about the president’s age affecting the upcoming elections. Connecticut Senator Chris Murphy emphasized the limited time Biden has to prove his capability for a second term. The outcome of these calls for Biden to leave the race remains uncertain.

Congress is back in session this week and the number of Democratic officials calling for President Joe Biden to drop out of the presidential race could grow.
