Police say gunman planned attack at Cedar Hill clinic
SUMMARY: In Cedar Hill, south of Dallas, a man is accused of shooting a doctor at a medical clinic. Police believe the man was planning an attack on his ex-girlfriend but ended up shooting the doctor instead. The suspect, 34-year-old Brian McGee, had made threats to his ex who worked at the clinic. After officers arrived at the scene, they followed McGee for about two blocks before an undercover police pickup crashed into the back of his car. McGee then began firing at the officers, who shot back. The doctor has been released from the hospital, but McGee remains in critical condition and is charged with aggravated assault and attempted capital murder.
