Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano among buildings damaged in Texas storms
SUMMARY: The city of Plano is warning residents that power restoration may take several days. Crews have been working on repairs amidst ongoing heat and humidity. Richardson also faced severe wind damage, with roofs torn off buildings and debris injuring residents. Many people lost their homes and possessions. The Richardson Fire Department and city crews are busy clearing streets and debris. Prestonwood Baptist Worship Center in Plano suffered significant damage, but quick actions minimized further issues. Hundreds of volunteers have turned out to help. Despite the destruction, no injuries have been reported. Power outages continue for 38% of customers in Richardson.

Arlington police seek surveillance video of drive-by shooting that injured 19, 5-year-old
SUMMARY: A drive-by shooting occurred at around 3:00 a.m. in Arlington, hitting three people inside a home on Tennessee Trail. Among the victims were a 5-year-old girl, shot in the hand, and a 19-year-old man, shot multiple times and hospitalized. A 20-year-old man was grazed by a bullet but did not seek medical treatment. The five occupants of the house claim they don't know why they were targeted or who is responsible. Police found multiple shell casings and are investigating, seeking surveillance footage and public tips to identify the shooter. The 5-year-old's injuries are not life-threatening.
Arlington police are continuing to investigate a drive-by shooting that injured a 19-year-old man and a 5-year-old girl over the weekend.

Hurricane Beryl: Is it going to hit Texas?
SUMMARY: Hurricane Barrel, a Category 4 storm with 150 mph winds, made landfall in the Windward Islands early this morning, impacting Grenada and St. Vincent.
