Baytown woman arrested, accused of leaving 2 children in locked car while getting her nails done
SUMMARY: Baytown mother Lydia Ailes, 28, faces charges for leaving her children in a hot car while she got her nails done. Police arrested her at Amazing Nails on G Road. Despite leaving the car’s air conditioning on, it wasn’t enough to keep the children cool; a thermal gun showed the interior temperature at 106°F. Surveillance footage captures Ailes entering the salon around 5:30 PM, and she was inside for about an hour. Authorities advise using methods like stuffed animals to remind drivers of children in the back seat. Newer cars with rear occupant alert systems can also help prevent such incidents.

Biden family meets about campaign’s future
SUMMARY: President Biden’s family is reportedly reinforcing his resolve at a Camp David retreat amid rising calls from some left-wing voices for him to end his campaign. The White House states the retreat was pre-planned, including a family photo shoot for a magazine. While there are rumors about discussing President Biden’s future, the White House denies this. Democratic lawmakers affirm unity behind Biden, believing he is the only candidate capable of defeating Donald Trump. Despite criticism, including from the New York Times urging Biden to step down, his senior adviser Anita Dunn insists Biden is focused on moving forward, with the campaign raising over $33 million post-debate.
The Biden family is reportedly keeping the faith after a disappointing debate performance this week. The family met at a Camp David retreat over the weekend.
