US 290 expansion: TxDOT holds workshop to hear community feedback | FOX 7 Austin
SUMMARY: Today's Community Workshop is part of the environmental and schematic phase encouraging residents to view and provide feedback on the US 290 project from Oak Hill to Dripping Springs. This follows over 1,000 comments received from a previous public meeting. Community members review boards displaying future plans and fill out surveys, leaving feedback and Post-it notes. The project involves upgrading US 290 from four to six lanes, adding pedestrian and bicycle accommodations, and removing main lane traffic signals. Feedback will help evaluate design options.
