What does Trump’s conviction mean for the election?
SUMMARY: Shannon Bream from Fox News discussed the potential impact of Trump's conviction on the upcoming election. Initial polling suggested only a small percentage of voters might change their opinion, but in a tight race, even minor shifts matter. Both sides claim some form of victory: Biden's camp views the conviction as upholding the rule of law, while Trump's supporters feel energized and are increasing fundraising efforts. Biden's team has been cautious in their response to avoid appearing politically motivated, especially since Biden faces his own legal challenges. Bream's upcoming Sunday show will feature key political figures discussing these ramifications.
FOX News Sunday's Shannon Bream takes a look at how former President Donald Trump's conviction impacts the opinion of voters, if at all. Plus, she shares reaction from Biden's team and more.

Tropical Storm Beryl: Latest projected path, possible impact to Texas
SUMMARY: The National Hurricane Center's 7:00 advisory continues tracking Tropical Storm Barrel in the warm Gulf waters with sustained winds of 60 MPH and northwest movement at 12 MPH. The pressure is rising from yesterday. Barrel is expected to strengthen to at least a Category 1 hurricane before making landfall east of Corpus Christi on Monday morning or midday, with potential to reach Category 2. Hurricane watches span from Rio Grande Valley to San Luis Pass, and storm surge watches extend to the Galveston area, predicting surges between 2 to 5 feet. North Texas could see heavy rain, with potential rainfall increasing Monday and Tuesday.
Beryl has been downgraded to a Tropical Storm, but it is expected to re-intensify into a Category 1 or 2 hurricane before it hits Texas. FOX 4's Kylie Capps breaks down the updated path for the storm and the impact seen in North Texas and across the state.

Hays County district clerk resigns | FOX 7 Austin
SUMMARY: Avery Anderson, elected at 19, faced numerous issues during his tenure, including failing to send jury summons, subpoenas, and protective orders. Attorneys Khloe Love and Thomas filed a lawsuit to remove him in September 2023, citing widespread concerns about his competence. In February, a judge found Anderson incompetent. A hearing was held last month to consider his temporary removal, but Anderson resigned instead, avoiding a potentially embarrassing trial. He denied incompetence in his resignation letter, attributing his errors to inexperience. District Attorney Kelly Higgins welcomed the resignation, anticipating better collaboration moving forward. Angela Shen reported for Fox 7 Austin News.
